Igbo people are iindegenous to southern Nigeria. They are said to have migrated to their present homeland from Egypt. They claim Jewish origin though it hasn't been verified. Their fore-father was said to be Eri who was one of the sons of Gad. And today, there is a place known as Ebo-Gad that is Gad's home located in Aguleri where Eri first settled. Eri was said to have left Egypt when Egyptians began to maltreat and enslave Jews. lgbo people are sn adventurous set of people. There is a claim that lgbo people in diaspora out numbers those resident in lgbo land. How true is this assertion? Well, nobody has really verified it. An gbo man naturally cherishes freedom and Independence.. He does not like the word sir though he uses it merely to project himself. However, he knew that sir is a language of slavery so he uses it sparingly. An lgbo man wants to assert himself. Thus, he knew that only financial freedom can guarantee that especially if he had smattering education. And whether he came from the most wretched family, he believes he can attain greatness. He sets out his agenda conserving the little that comes to him by reinvesting and deferring gratification. Though they are faced with many challenges especially in this nation where the lgbos are stymied from maximizing their potentials. However, in spite of the obnoxious policies, they are not deterred bcs these stumbling blocks where converted to stepping Stones. Hence, they conquer no matter the opposition around them. So when you see a poor lgbo boy around you don't look down on him because you don't know his dream and vision. Frankly, tomorrow he would become a great man and you will regret the bad way you treated them.
